1. North west corner/Brick return - repair of structural defects to supporting timber that have caused rotation of brickwork, cracking of the brickwork and render(now removed) and cracking of the underlying wall structure.Rebuilding the brickwork from the ground to the eaves and tying the brickwork to No 4 with a proprietary wall starter system. Replacement of the timber beam above the former carriageway opening that has decayed and to be replaced with a stainless steel with timber faces. Temporary support to remove existing lintel. 2. Brickwork below and to the south of the window of bedroom 1 (the northern bedroom) we would propose strengthening the bond between the brickwork below the window and over the redundant door by inserting 2 No concrete lintels 9min length 700mm into the brickwork. 3. The arched brickwork over the redundant front door . While there were localised areas of brick degradation in the arch, it may be more practical to rebuild the arch .4. Brickwork to the left of the arch- we would recomend the cut brick at the springing point of the arch is replaced with a c.92 semi-engineering brick , and the cut bricks on the left hand side running up to the existing padstones are also replaced with semi-engineering bricks. To minimise the risk of cracks opening up in the render,we would also recommend installing a stainless steel expanded lath (EML) mesh over the brickwork in this area. 5. Low Level brick to the left of the reundant door (below the red bricks)repair by rebuilding the brickwork from in line with the top of the red bricks/cement mortar. 6 Flat -arch brick lintel over the living room window- we would recomend the flat arch-arch brick lintel is replaced with a 140dp x 100w prestressed concrete lintel. 7 chimney repairs - remove and rebuild top 4 courses of the chimney using the existing bricks , repointed with lime mortar and replace with the existing chimney pot. These works are based on the SE report by David Evans (Clive Hudson Associates)
